Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist provision supporting pupils with additional needs.
\nThis is a highly rewarding role working closely with an individual pupil, providing consistent support both academically and emotionally within a structured, trauma-informed environment.
The Role\n- \n
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism and SEMH needs \n
- Support engagement in lessons and adapt learning activities where required \n
- Promote emotional regulation, wellbeing, and positive behaviour \n
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider team to deliver personalised support \n
- Help create a calm, safe, and consistent learning environment \n
- Support with transitions, routines, and relationship building \n
Hours can be discussed, with both part-time and full-time options considered.

- Small, specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH \n
- Classes of up to 9 pupils, with strong staff-to-pupil ratios \n

- Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (education or care background considered) \n
- Demonstrate a calm, patient, and nurturing approach \n
- Have an understanding of, or willingness to learn, trauma-informed practice \n
- Be resilient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships \n
- Be committed to supporting both the academic and emotional development of pupils \n
