Mechanical Engineer Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire Salary: £45,000 per annum + Overtime Available Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm The Opportunity We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance. * Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently. * Install, service, and maintain a range of mechanical equipment. * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. About You We're looking for someone who has: * Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar. * A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent). * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * The ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A proactive attitude and commitment to high standards of workmanship. * Good communication skills.
