Location: Remote, UK Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Permanent: Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm) Job Code: MJ2303 Senior Design Coordinator Are you an experienced Design Coordinator ready to step up and lead high-profile construction projects across London? Our client, a leading specialist in major London developments, is looking for a sharp, commercially minded Senior Design Coordinator to manage and streamline design delivery from initial concept through to site execution. With a strong focus on complex building envelopes, facade performance, and tight regulatory compliance, you’ll sit at the centre of project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and keeping live programmes strictly on track. If you have hands-on experience navigating UK building standards, managing specialist consultants, and keeping projects moving, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate design information, programmes, and Information Release Schedules (IRS) across live UK projects to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction. * Allocate, plan, and balance workloads for internal designers and external consultants while resolving resource conflicts. * Lead design meetings and integrate specialist inputs across facade, structural, thermal, acoustic, and fire engineering disciplines. * Oversee design risk registers, change control, document management, and compliance with company procedures, key UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and NHBC guidelines. * Track IRS performance, compile KPI and management reports, and communicate project metrics directly to senior leadership. * Capture lessons learned to optimise design workflows, reporting systems, and cross-departmental coordination. Essential Skills & Experience * Direct experience managing design on live UK construction projects, specifically around building envelope and facade systems. * Hands-on experience using CAD or BIM, grounded in UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and NHBC requirements. * Proven track record running design programmes, setting Information Release Schedules (IRS), and balancing team workloads. * Confident leading multidisciplinary design meetings, handling client relationships, and taking accountability for decisions. * Clear understanding of how design changes and scope variations impact budget and deadlines. * Must have the legal Right to Work in the UK. Desirable * Relevant degree or professional qualification in design, engineering, construction, or a related field (or equivalent experience) * Building Safety Act and Gateway process experience. * Technical coordination experience. * Experience managing external consultants * High level design coordination or design management experience.
