Team Leader | Learning Disabilities | Nottinghamshire Stephen James Consulting are partnering with an independent Learning Disabilities, provider in the search for a Team Leader based in Nottinghamshire. The Team Leader will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care. This warm friendly service delivers person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, Autism, PDA, mental health needs, complex behaviours, and sensory impairments - empowering individuals to live independently and achieve meaningful outcomes. As a Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, stepping in to lead in their absence. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide, mentor, and support staff while ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities: * Support the Service Manager with service delivery and lead the team when required * Line manage, coach, and develop Support Workers * Ensure rotas are effectively managed and shifts are covered * Build positive relationships with families, social workers, and external professionals * Maintain compliance with CQC standards and contractual requirements * Complete audits, spot checks, and maintain accurate records * Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and best practice at all times * Support continuous improvement and contribute to service development Requirements: * Minimum of 18 months experience within complex care working as Support Worker or a Team Leader * Hold a NVQ Level 3 in children and young people’s residential care - ESSENTIAL * Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours * Strong communication and leadership skills. * Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills * Ability to remain calm and resilient in high pressure environments * Knowledge of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding * Basic IT skills * Full Clean UK driving licence (required) If you are an experienced Senior Support Worker or a Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career and make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
