Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead – Offsite Modular Construction London £85,000 - £90,000 + Accommodation + Travel + living Allowance Full-Time | Building Services | Offsite Manufacturing I'm recruiting for an experienced Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead to join a leading engineering contractor based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the prefabrication detailing function, producing high-quality manufacturing drawings for offsite modular MEP assets, including pump skids, multi-storey risers, and combined distribution modules. You'll play a key role in driving innovation, standardisation, and quality across major construction projects. As the Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead, you'll manage a team of detailers, produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings, develop prefabrication standards, and work closely with design, fabrication, and project teams to ensure successful offsite delivery. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for offsite MEP modules. * Generate piping isometrics from P&IDs and material specifications. * Design efficient plant room layouts and service routing. * Develop and maintain prefabrication detailing standards and procedures. * Lead and mentor the detailing team. * Manage workload, resources, and delivery programmes. * Coordinate with structural engineers and project teams. * Raise RFIs and resolve design queries. * Produce progress reports and look-ahead programmes. * Carry out quality inspections and document control. * Support the overall prefabrication and offsite manufacturing strategy. Requirements * Degree or Trade qualification in Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, HVAC, or related discipline. * 8–10 years' experience in a similar role. * Strong knowledge of piping design, spooling, and prefabrication. * Advanced experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Fabrication MEP. * Experience leading detailing teams within an MEP or offsite manufacturing environment. * Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
