Quantity Surveyor - Fit out

Quantity Surveyor Location: Cambridge Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, DOE An established commercial design and build contractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. You'll play a key role in managing the commercial performance of construction and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities * Manage project costs, budgets and forecasts. * Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. * Price and manage variations and change control. * Procure and commercially manage subcontractors. * Monitor project performance and protect margins. * Produce accurate commercial reports and CVRs. * Work closely with project, procurement and finance teams. Requirements * Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction, commercial fit-out or interiors. * Strong knowledge of cost control, subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts. * Good understanding of UK construction contracts. * Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems.
