Fitters Mate – Pumps & Mechanical Services Location: Chelmsford, Essex Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum Smart Search Technical Ltd is proud to be working in partnership with a leading specialist in pump design, installation and servicing. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated and hands-on Fitters Mate to join their Chelmsford team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who is looking to build a long-term career within the pump and engineering sector. The Role * Assisting experienced engineers with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of pump systems * Supporting workshop and on-site projects across the Essex area and beyond * Preparing tools, equipment, and materials for each job * Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times * Carrying out basic mechanical tasks under supervision, with opportunities to develop further skills The Person * Ideally some previous mechanical, workshop, or site-based experience (training will be provided) * Strong practical skills and a willingness to learn new techniques * Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting senior engineers * Reliable, hardworking, and eager to progress within the industry * Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential What’s on Offer * Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience * Training and development opportunities within a respected pump services company * Chance to gain hands-on engineering experience and progress your career * Friendly, supportive team environment Smart Search Technical is a specialist recruitment company operating in technical engineering sectors across the UK & beyond.
