Estimator – Bespoke Joinery & Furniture Job Title: Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking Job reference Number: (phone number removed) Office Based: Guildford Remuneration: £38,000 - £40,000neg Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package The role of Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking will involve: * Estimator position dealing with a high end range of bespoke furniture & joinery projects for residential sectors (desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets, surfaces etc.) * Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final quotation, ensuring accurate and commercially viable pricing * Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope, materials, quantities and project requirements * Producing detailed take-offs, BOQs and quotations within required deadlines * Estimating material, labour, manufacturing and installation costs * Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain costs for specialist materials and outsourced requirements * Working closely with designers, architects, clients and production teams throughout the estimating process * Providing technical support, answering client queries and maintaining strong relationships * Supporting project handovers and monitoring costs through to completion The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking with * Must have Estimating experience within the joinery, bespoke interior products, furniture market or closely related sectors * Great technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs * Highly organised with good attention to detail * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Computer literate (Microsoft Office) * Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Good team player who also works well individually Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, Construction vacancies and Specification positions within: Estimator, Estimating, Estimates, Contractors, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Joinery, Cabinets, Furniture, Desks, Surfaces, Units, Counters, Fit-out, Interiors, Bespoke Joinery, Woodwork, Machinery, Fabrication, Commercial, Refurbishment, Retail Fit-Out, Shop Fit-Out, D&B, Manufacture, Contractors
