Job Title: DV Cleared PMO Manager Location: Basingstoke X5 days onsite with hybrid options TBC Duration: Until 31st May with possible extension Rate: Up to £550 per day via an approved umbrella company Must be willing and eligible to go through DV clearance process Are you an experienced leader with a passion for programme governance and delivery? Our client, a reputable organisation supporting critical Defence projects, is hiring for a PMO Manager to oversee their Project Management Office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and contribute to high-stakes programmes. What you'll be doing: * Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the PMO team * Provide comprehensive governance, financial, resource, and delivery reports * Support programme planning, delivery reviews, and assurance activities * Oversee RAID logs, change, decision, and action registers * Manage resource planning, forecasting, and financial controls including invoicing and budgeting * Drive process improvements and standardisation across the programme * Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with contractual and organisational standards * Support large-scale transformation and complex Defence programmes, working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies What you'll bring: * Strong leadership and people management skills * Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities * Proven expertise in governance, assurance, and reporting * Financial management and forecasting experience * Risk and issue management proficiency * Resource planning and management skills * Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities * Ability to influence and challenge constructively * Organisational skills with a focus on prioritisation * Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving environments * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAP, and reporting tools Ideal background includes: * Extensive experience within a PMO or programme environment * Leadership of PMO teams and governance frameworks * Supporting large, complex Defence or government projects * Experience with RAID, change control, and contractual governance * Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methods If you're ready to make an impact in a critical sector, apply now to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to excellence.
