Job Description: The successful Electrical Design Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced engineering systems and products. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the Electrical Design Engineer will contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement activities across existing platforms. Key responsibilities include: * Designing and documenting complex electrical and electronic systems and architectures * Supporting system integration, testing, validation, and optimisation of prototype tools * Preparing technical requirements documentation and managing verification activities * Collaborating with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams to deliver complete system solutions * Supporting interface design including communications, cabling, and component integration * Identifying and resolving system design issues to improve product performance and reliability * Managing external suppliers and specialist contractors where required * Supporting production teams with calibration processes, testing procedures, and technical training * Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations This role would suit a technically strong Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and working within a fast-paced development environment. Skills & experience: * Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience. * Minimum 5 years’ experience within Electrical/Electronics Engineering. * Previous experience within a Systems Engineer position or similar technical role. * Strong understanding of electrical and electronic system architecture. * Experience with motion control and high-accuracy motion systems. * Knowledge of testing, validation, and system integration activities. * Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance. * Experience with optical systems or PLC systems would be advantageous
