Equipment Design Authority

Copello have partnered with an established engineering business in the recruitment of a Design Authority, supporting the development, certification and in-service evolution of complex electronic systems used in high-integrity applications. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you'll provide technical leadership across hardware, software and systems engineering, ensuring products continue to meet customer requirements throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: * Providing technical leadership for complex electronic systems * Managing product design, development and certification activities * Supporting system architecture, requirements and verification * Identifying and managing technical risks and opportunities * Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and key stakeholders * Supporting ongoing product improvements and in-service support We're looking for candidates with: * Experience in systems, electronics or software engineering * Technical leadership or design authority experience within complex engineering projects * Knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management * Understanding of hardware/software integration and product verification * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Please note applicants must be eligible to obtain the required UK security clearance.
