Job Title: Yard Operative

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £12.76 per hour plus regular overtime

Job type: Permanent, Full Time

Working hours: Monday - Friday 07.30am - 4:30pm plus regular overtime (Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.30pm paid at time and a half).

About The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Yard Operative to join our team in Wavertree, Liverpool.

The Yard Operative will assist in the running of a busy builder's yard.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Serve customers quickly and efficiently
\n
• Collate orders for delivery
\n
• Receive and check incoming deliveries
\n
• Ensure paperwork is accurate
\n
• Assist with regular stock takes
\n
• Maintain standards of cleanliness and safety within the working environment
\n
• Undertake any reasonable task from time to time at the Branch Manager's request as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post
\n

About you:

• You must have a Forklift Licence
\n
• An understanding of general building, roofing and timber materials
\n
• Flexible 'can-do' attitude
\n
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
\n
• Able to work effectively in a team or alone under own initiative
\n
• Strong communication skills
\n
• Experience cutting timber to size desirable but not essential
\n
