Local Education is recruiting qualified Primary Teachers for daily supply, long-term cover, maternity assignments, temp-to-permanent and permanent opportunities across South Essex from September. As a GCA-approved supplier, Local Education is now working through more approved school and trust arrangements than ever before. For Primary Teachers, that means access to a broader range of opportunities while retaining the personal support of an independent Essex agency. We are interested in speaking with teachers across: - EYFS and Reception - Key Stage 1 - Key Stage 2 - PPA and intervention - SEND and enhanced provision - Subject leadership - Primary leadership Why work through Local Education? A good supply experience depends on more than receiving a school address. It depends on honest matching, preparation and an agency that understands what you are looking for. Before offering work, we take time to understand your preferred year groups, locations, travel distance, availability, planning expectations and longer-term goals. We would rather offer the right role than pressure you into an unsuitable one. Our support includes: - Access to daily, long-term and permanent Primary Teacher roles - Weekly PAYE pay with transparent payslip information - A responsive local team that knows its partner schools - In-house safeguarding and behaviour support - School-specific inductions where schools provide their policies - Clear booking information before you attend - Help preparing for interviews and trial days - Continued contact throughout long-term placements - Opportunities with mainstream, SEND and alternative settings School-specific preparation Local Education is developing a more structured induction process with partner schools. Where available, teachers receive guidance on the school’s ethos, behaviour systems, safeguarding expectations and practical routines before attending. We may also provide concise reminders alongside booking information. This is designed to reduce the uncertainty of a first day and help you arrive prepared to teach. What assignments can we offer? Daily supply can provide flexibility and exposure to different schools without the ongoing planning requirements of a permanent post. Long-term assignments may involve full class-teacher responsibilities, including planning, assessment, marking and parent communication. We make those expectations clear before you accept a role and discuss rates accordingly. We would like to hear from: - Experienced Primary Teachers seeking greater flexibility - ECTs looking to build experience in supportive schools - Teachers returning after a career break - Part-time teachers seeking additional days - Teachers relocating to Essex - Primary SEND specialists - Teachers considering long-term or permanent roles for September Essential requirements include: - UK Qualified Teacher Status or recognised eligibility to teach - Recent primary teaching experience - Strong safeguarding awareness - Right to work in the UK - A willingness to complete enhanced DBS, reference and compliance checks - Reliable and professional communication At Local Education, candidates are not numbers in a database. We aim to build long-term relationships, give honest advice and provide the preparation needed to represent both you and the school well. Apply through CV-Library today. Suitable applicants will be contacted to discuss availability, preferred year groups, location, pay expectations and the type of Primary Teacher opportunity they want for September
