Design Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are on the lookout for a Design/Proposals Engineer to work for a global business with a UK Office based in Durham. The company are a designer/manufacturer of electrical products used in Data Centre and Industrial projects across 130 countries. Their head office and manufacturing facility is based out of Istanbul with further locations including: Germany, France, UAE, Australia and USA. Key Responsibilities: * Technical analysis of requirements * Development of technical proposals * Creation of project documents (drawings/datasheets) * Offer preparation in SAP (with support from MD) * Drafting supporting documentation Requirements: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role. Required Skills: * Ability to critically analyze technical and commercial documentation * Experience in drafting offers in SAP * Proficiency in written and spoken English; a second language is a plus * Advanced knowledge of Excel and main IT tools; experience with SAP systems is a plus Fundamental Knowledge * Understanding of design fundamentals * Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical engineering principles * Proficiency in AutoCAD Additional Knowledge: * Experience with Revit and Autocad * Strong critical analysis, attention to detail, and precision * Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines * Strong teamwork skills Remuneration On offer for the role is a salary up to £40,000 alongside paid training as well as the opportunity to travel abroad to see the projects in person This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
