Night-Shift Electrical Testing Technician \n
Midlands Region \n
Contract Opportunity Rate: £36.40 per hour\n
Hours: 40 hours per week\n
Shift Pattern: Predominantly nights\n
Start Date: Available immediately

\n An opportunity has become available for an experienced electrical testing professional to join a specialist compliance project operating across industrial and heavy engineering environments throughout the Midlands.\n
\n This assignment is ideally suited to an electrician with a strong background in statutory inspection, condition reporting and testing of low-voltage electrical installations within manufacturing, process, aggregates or similar sectors.\n
\n The position will initially run for three months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.\n
\n Working Pattern The role is primarily structured around night working, typically covering four shifts per week:\n

- Monday to Thursday \n
- 8:00pm to 6:00am \n
- Additional weekend shifts available during planned shutdown periods \n
- Regular overtime opportunities \n
Main Duties You will be responsible for carrying out:\n
\n
- \n
- Periodic inspection of electrical installations \n
- Fixed-wire testing programmes \n
- Electrical condition assessments and reporting \n
- Identification and recording of non-compliances \n
- Verification of installations against current wiring regulations \n
- Safe isolation and testing procedures \n
- Accurate completion of certification and inspection records \n
Candidate Requirements Applicants should possess:\n

- \n
- Recognised electrical qualifications \n
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification \n
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification \n
- Valid ECS card \n
- Demonstrable experience producing EICRs and inspection documentation \n
- Industrial, manufacturing, quarrying or process-sector experience would be highly advantageous \n
- Full UK driving licence \n
