With over 1,000 employees and a £150m turnover, were growingand now looking for experienced Civils Operatives to play a key role in our project delivery teams on our clean water site near Brede in East Sussex.\n
\nThe Role You will be working at our Brede site in East Sussex and as a Civils Operative you'll be assisting site teams with general civils construction operations, hand digging around complex services, drainage, pipe laying, concrete, maintaining site cleanliness, transporting materials, and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards. Applications are welcome from skilled groundworkers and machine drivers (360 / dumper) who are interested to join us on a long term basis.\n
What Youll Be Doing 1) Technical Responsibilities - Site Operations\n
\nOur teams design and deliver full EPC solutions, combining technical excellence with practical, hands-on delivery. We offer end-to-end capabilities from concept and design through to manufacturing, construction and commissioning utilising a continually evolving in-house expertise. This means youll work on projects that are varied, challenging and genuinely impactful.\n
\nOur multi-disciplinary teams bring together specialists in civil, mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and control & automation engineering, alongside our in-house manufacturing of control panels, MCCs, PLCs and SCADA systems. What Youll Be Doing 1) Technical Responsibilities - Site Operations\n

- Reporting to our foremen, duties include but are not limited to:\n
- \n
- General civils construction operations. \n
- Drainage, pipe laying, concrete. \n
- Hand digging around complex services. \n
- Promotion of safety within safety critical environment. \n
- Holding permits to work, etc. \n
\n
- \n
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental regulations. \n
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. \n
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and near-misses to supervisors. \n
- Participate in toolbox talks, site briefings, and site inductions. \n
- Assist in maintaining site standards, cleanliness, and organisation. \n
- Identify obvious defects or issues and report them to supervisors. \n
- Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to Ganger or Site Engineer. \n
- \n
- Work under the supervision of the Ganger, Supervisor or Site Manger. \n
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and report issues promptly. \n
- Support the team to meet daily targets and maintain site efficiency. \n
- \n
- Uphold and promote the Companys Core Values Care, Trust, Respect and Sustainability. \n
- \n
- CSCS Card \n
- Applicants will need to be reliable and responsible with a good awareness of health and safety in the workplace and a strong work ethic. \n
- Applicants must have the existing right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. \n
- \n
- CPCS / NPORS 360 above / below 10 tonne. \n
- CPCS / NPORS Dumper & Roller. \n
- NVQ Level 2 Civil Engineering / Construction / Groundworks. \n
- Confined Space Awareness. \n
- EUSR Water Hygiene \n
- Previous experience in a relevant construction operational role (3+ Years). \n
