\nPay: £95-£120 per day, dependent upon experience, qualifications, training and responsibilities.
\nAcademics is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this temporary Graduate Teaching Assistant position.
\nAre you an English Graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching, publishing, journalism, communications or another language-based career?
\nWe are recruiting English Graduates for full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant roles in supportive secondary schools across Kingston and the surrounding South West London area. These long-term temporary positions provide excellent classroom experience while developing your understanding of teaching, learning and student support.
\nAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students in and out of the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. English Graduates are highly valued for their communication skills, subject knowledge and ability to support literacy development.
\nThe Role

- Full-time temporary Graduate Teaching Assistant \n
- Secondary schools across Kingston and the surrounding South West London area \n
- Supporting students across Key Stages 3-5 \n
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions \n
- Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom management \n
- Supporting students with SEND where required \n
- September 2026 start \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Degree in English or a related subject \n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Academics \n
- Previous experience working with children or young people (education, tutoring, coaching, mentoring or similar) is desirable \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Genuine interest in education and supporting young people \n
- Professional, reliable and proactive approach \n
