IT Support Technician – Derby – up to £35,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated IT Support Technician to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation in Derby. Working within a busy and dynamic environment, you'll play a key role in supporting the company's technology infrastructure and assisting colleagues with day-to-day IT issues. This is a hands-on position where you'll be actively involved across the business rather than spending all your time at a desk. Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide first-line technical support and resolve user issues efficiently
\n
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and business system problems
\n
• Prepare, configure, and recover equipment for new starters and departing employees
\n
• Ensure meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment are fully operational
\n
• Support IT improvement initiatives, upgrades, and deployment projects
\n
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, records, and asset inventories
\n

Skills and Experience Required\n

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• Passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving
\n
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed in a busy environment
\n
• Positive attitude with a willingness to support colleagues across the business
\n
• Full UK driving licence
\n

Desirable Knowledge\n

\n
• Previous experience using IT service desk or ticket management systems
\n
• Understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
\n
• Basic networking knowledge
\n
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
\n
