\nAbout the Role
\nAs an Aviation Lecturer, you will equip students with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed within the aviation sector. You will deliver engaging lessons, provide academic and pastoral support, and help learners develop the technical and employability skills valued by employers.
\nYou will play a key role in preparing students for further study, apprenticeships and employment while building strong links with industry to enhance the learner experience.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across aviation programmes. \n
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities to ensure excellent student outcomes. \n
- Develop learners' vocational, technical and employability skills. \n
- Monitor student progress and set SMART targets to support achievement. \n
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, progress and assessment tracking. \n
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students. \n
- Contribute to learner recruitment, interviews, enrolment activities and open events. \n
- Foster relationships with employers and industry partners to enhance work experience and progression opportunities. \n
- Work collaboratively with curriculum colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve provision. \n
- Ensure compliance with awarding body and quality assurance requirements. \n
What We're Looking For
\nThe successful candidate will have:
\n- \n
- A vocational qualification at Level 3 or above in a relevant subject area. \n
- Recent industry experience within aviation or a related sector. \n
- A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. \n
- An assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent) or willingness to achieve this. \n
- English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. \n
- A collaborative approach and commitment to student success. \n
- A passion for education and developing future talent. \n
