Our college is seeking a passionate and industry-informed Visual Arts Tutor (Film & Media) to join our creative teaching team in Walthamstow. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative educator or industry practitioner to inspire young people aged 16–19 and help shape the next generation of talent in the creative industries.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
    \n
  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Visual Arts programmes, with a particular emphasis on Film, Graphics, and Photography.
  • \n
  • Assess and track student progress through formative and summative methods.
  • \n
  • Provide pastoral and tutorial support to learners.
  • \n
  • Contribute to course development and curriculum planning.
  • \n
  • Support enrichment activities, trips, and employer engagement.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
  • \n
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and positive student behaviour.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    \n
  • Essential:\n
      \n
    • Degree in a Visual Arts-related subject.
    • \n
    • Experience teaching or working with 16–19 learners.
    • \n
    • Strong practical skills across Visual Arts disciplines.
    • \n
    • Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment.
    • \n
    • Understanding of safeguarding and supporting young people.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Desirable:\n
      \n
    • Teaching qualification (or working towards one).
    • \n
    • Industry experience in Film, Media, Graphics, or Photography.
    • \n
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • \n
    • Experience supporting student progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
    • \n
