Job Description
The Role
\nWe are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our Maintenance Department, helping ensure that our properties remain safe, clean, and ready for occupancy. This is a hands-on role covering everything from minor repairs and painting to end-of-tenancy deep cleans and lock changes. You will be expected to drive to various sites across London, so a valid UK driving license is essential. We are hiring for various patches within Greater London (South London, Essex Region, West London)
\nMain Duties & Responsibilities

- Painting & Decorating: Perform touch-ups as well as full interior/exterior painting to maintain property appearance. \n
- Cleaning: Carry out cleans of vacated/void units, including kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas. \n
- Furniture Delivery & Assembly: Transport and install furniture and white goods to our properties \n
- Lock Changes: Change or repair locks as needed \n
- Basic Repairs: Handle general maintenance such as fixing doors, handles, tiling, minor carpentry and plumbing. \n
- End-of-Tenancy Preparation: Prepare vacated units for re-letting, including waste removal and tagging tenant belongings. \n
- Rubbish Collection Assistance: May be required to assist the rubbish collection team with removal, sorting, and disposal of waste materials from vacated units. \n
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies during all tasks. \n
Skills & Knowledge
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a handyman or in a property maintenance role. \n
- Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and decorating. \n
- Ability to identify problems and resolve them independently. \n
- Strong communication skills; polite and respectful with residents. \n
- Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks. \n
- Physically fit; able to handle manual labour, lifting, and use ladders. \n
- Basic IT skills for reporting and logging work completed. \n
- Own tools \n
- Full clean driving license is essential \n

- Formal training or certifications in building maintenance trades (e.g., plastering, basic electrical work, etc.). \n
