Location: Macclesfield, SK10

Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm (Occasional 7am starts / 5pm finishes)

Start Date: Monday 6th July

\n

End Date: September 2026

PPE Required: High-vis, Hard Hat, Safety Boots

Reporting To: Project Manager

\n

Role Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager/Banksman to oversee safe, efficient, and compliant site logistics across a multi-site operation in Macclesfield.

\n

You will work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to ensure smooth daily operations, controlled vehicle movements, and a safe environment for staff, visitors, and the public.

\n

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Site & Access Control

\n
    \n
  • Managing a tenanted building and ensuring visitors do not access restricted areas\n

    • \n
  • Allowing emergency vehicle access at all times\n

    • \n
  • Safe opening and locking of site entrances\n

    • \n
  • Vigilant monitoring of the general public around site boundaries\n

    • \n
\n

Traffic & Vehicle Management

\n
    \n
  • Full traffic management across 3 active sites\n

    • \n
  • Directing and controlling vehicle movements as the designated Banksman\n

    • \n
  • Ensuring clear communication via two-way radio\n

    • \n
  • Planning safe and efficient transport routes\n

    • \n
\n

Logistics & Deliveries

\n
    \n
  • Receiving, checking, and debriefing all deliveries\n

    • \n
  • Managing the safe movement of materials across sites\n

    • \n
  • Updating records and logs via iPad\n

    • \n
  • Coordinating with site managers and the PM to maintain workflow\n

    • \n

Safety & Compliance

  • Daily reporting and communication with management\n

    • \n
  • Monitoring site safety and identifying hazards\n

    • \n
  • Ensuring full health & safety compliance at all times\n

    • \n
  • Maintaining secure, controlled access to all areas\n

    • \n
\n

Ideal Candidate

\n
    \n
  • Experienced in logistics coordination and/or banksman duties\n

    • \n
  • Confident using radios and digital reporting tools\n

    • \n
  • Strong awareness of safety, traffic flow, and public interface\n

    • \n
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple sites simultaneously\n
