Temporary Site Manager – Primary School (Hillingdon)

\nThe Role
\nWe are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Temporary Site Manager to join a well-established primary school in Hillingdon. This is an immediate start position offering a stable assignment through the summer period, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
\nThis is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring the school premises remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and fully operational, carrying out regular site inspections \n
- Manage day-to-day site operations, including both planned and reactive maintenance \n
- Act as the main point of contact for contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with school procedures \n
- Monitor contractor compliance, including:\n
- \n
- Permits to work \n
- Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) \n
- Safeguarding requirements \n
\n - Carry out routine health & safety checks, including:\n
- \n
- Fire alarm testing \n
- Emergency escape route inspections \n
- Hazard and defect reporting \n
\n - Maintain accurate records including:\n
- \n
- Statutory compliance documentation \n
- Maintenance logs \n
- Utility readings \n
- Health & safety records \n
\n - Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks, escalating specialist works where required \n
- Oversee site cleanliness and grounds maintenance, ensuring a safe and presentable environment \n
- Liaise with school leadership regarding maintenance, compliance, and site risks \n
- Support emergency procedures and ensure adherence to health, safety, and safeguarding regulations \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Site Manager / Caretaker / Facilities role, ideally within a school or similar environment \n
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance \n
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing maintenance works \n
- Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks \n
- Good organisational and communication skills \n
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) \n
