\nOverview
\nWe're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a multidisciplinary government team, supporting the delivery and operation of complex internal platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can contribute from day one, with strong experience across AWS, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. The team is looking for an engineer who champions automation and modern DevOps practices rather than relying on manual infrastructure management.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS environments \n
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform \n
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions \n
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and ideally EKS \n
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, and product teams to support delivery of complex platforms \n
- Write clear technical documentation, tickets, and progress updates \n
- Identify and resolve technical issues while promoting engineering best practices \n
- Ensure security, IAM, and access control considerations are embedded into platform design \n

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams \n
- Comfortable working independently and contributing to technical decision-making \n
Ideal Background
\n3+ years' experience as a:
\nDevOps Engineer Cloud Engineer Infrastructure Engineer
\nExperience supporting internal platforms, analytical platforms, or data platforms Government experience desirable but not essential
\nHands-on DevOps Engineer required to support AWS-based government platforms, with strong expertise across Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. This is a technical delivery role for someone who can hit the ground running and champion modern cloud engineering practices.
