\nWe're supporting a growing and well-established contractor with the appointment of an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their Northampton team. Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and critical infrastructure projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your commercial expertise within a business that genuinely invests in its people.
\nYou'll be joining a supportive commercial team where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own projects, while gaining exposure to larger and more complex schemes.
\n\nThe Role
\nAs an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the successful commercial delivery of projects from inception through to final account.
\nKey responsibilities will include:
\nManaging project budgets, cost plans and forecasts
\nMonitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
\nSupporting subcontractor procurement, tender processes and negotiations
\nPreparing and assessing interim valuations and payment applications
\nManaging subcontractor accounts and variations
\nAssisting with contract administration under JCT and NEC forms of contract
\nWorking closely with site teams, Project Managers and senior commercial staff
\nSupporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts
\nAbout You
\nWe're keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:
\nDegree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent apprenticeship route)
\nA minimum of 2 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role
\nExperience working within the UK construction sector
\nA good understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
\nStrong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
\nConfident communication and negotiation skills
\nA proactive attitude and desire to progress your career
