\nWe are working with a unique provision based in Epsom supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties within a mainstream secondary school. This role in Epsom is also an excellent opportunity for a Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in education and SEN.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be working within a specialist centre based in a mainstream secondary school in Epsom, supporting students who require additional help to access education. This role would suit both experienced SEN practitioners and a Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology graduate interested in developing a career in education, psychology, or mental health.
\nKey Responsibilities for a SEN Learning Support Assistant

- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs \n
- Assist in delivering a tailored, hybrid curriculum \n
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development \n
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals \n
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment \n
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with SEN (desirable but not essential) \n
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature \n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills \n
- An interest in education, SEN, or mental health \n
