Development Officer

Tristonenash are pleased to be working exclusively in partnership with Westward Housing Group on a number of key roles within their Development and Asset Management Directorates.

This is an exciting period of growth for the organisation giving the opportunity for like-minded individuals to join them on this journey.

We are looking for an experienced Development Officer to fill a newly created role within the team. You will support development schemes from early opportunity through to handover, working with colleagues and partners to help turn plans into good-quality, affordable homes.

Key Duties will include:

\n
• Carrying out appraisals on S106 & land lead scheme opportunities and preparing for submission to New Business Panel (NBP).
\n
• Identifying development opportunities,
\n
• Property purchase & land acquisition
\n
• Preparation of planning applications, managing consultant workload.
\n
• Progressing schemes into contract.
\n
• Provision of information for colleagues in the delivery and sales teams.
\n
• Management of defects rectification
\n
• Organising and attending resident involvement events around the work of the Team and individual scheme proposals
\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\n
• Experience of working for a housing provider within a variety of fields including development.
\n
• Experience of Project Management and appraising new development opportunities
\n
• Knowledge of Housing legislation Policy and practice.
\n
• Knowledge of The regulatory and development funding systems used by Housing associations.
\n
• Key skills in using Appraisal Software Tools, presentation and communication, negotiation and planning and organising skills.
\n
• Experience in using PROVAL appraisal tool
\n
