A respected main contractor specialising in luxury residential refurbishments, extensions and high-end fit-out projects is seeking an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to work on prestigious, design-led residential schemes, including an initial 20-unit luxury refurbishment project, with a split between the Twickenham office and London sites.

The Role\n

The successful candidate will support projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities\n

  • Preparing quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.
  • \n
  • Producing estimates, cost plans and tender submissions.
  • \n
  • Scoping work packages and preparing subcontract enquiries.
  • \n
  • Procuring subcontractors and suppliers.
  • \n
  • Reviewing and administering subcontract valuations.
  • \n
  • Preparing contracts and commercial documentation.
  • \n
  • Monitoring project costs and producing cost reports.
  • \n
  • Managing variations and change control.
  • \n
  • Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts.
  • \n
  • Supporting commercial management on live projects.
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
  • \n
  • Working between the Twickenham office and project sites.
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Estimator.
  • \n
  • Main contractor experience is essential.
  • \n
  • Experience within residential refurbishment, prime residential or high-end fit-out.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of construction costs and procurement.
  • \n
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
