Job Description: ServiceNow Developer (Associate Level)Overview We are seeking an Associate ServiceNow Developer to join a dynamic Agile delivery team supporting NHS England (NHSE). This role is focused on designing, developing, and optimising ServiceNow solutions to improve business processes, enhance automation, and future-proof digital services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, particularly within ITSM and CSM modules, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a regulated or public sector environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServiceNow Development & Delivery\n

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions
  • \n
  • Configure and customise ServiceNow applications in line with best practices
  • \n
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate solutions prior to deployment
  • \n
  • Implement new modules, platform enhancements, and architectural changes
  • \n
  • Design and build integrations with third-party systems where required
  • \n
Process Optimisation & Automation\n
    \n
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows
  • \n
  • Deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience
  • \n
  • Support innovation using ServiceNow capabilities, including Now Assist features
  • \n
Quality & Standards\n
    \n
  • Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure robust, high-quality deliverables
  • \n
  • Follow ServiceNow coding standards, design principles, and community guidelines
  • \n
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term platform strategy
  • \n
Stakeholder Collaboration\n

  • Work within Agile frameworks (Scrum, PI planning) to deliver iterative improvements
  • \n
  • Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
  • \n
  • Communicate effectively across teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery
  • \n
Reporting & Insights\n
    \n
  • Develop dashboards and reporting capabilities within ServiceNow
  • \n
  • Provide insights to support operational decision-making and performance tracking
  • \n
Required Skills & ExperienceEssential\n

  • Proven experience working with the ServiceNow platform (development, configuration, and customisation)
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow capabilities and architecture
  • \n
  • Experience with:\n
      \n
    • IT Service Management (ITSM)
    • \n
    • Customer Service Management (CSM)
    • \n
  • \n
  • Exposure to Now Assist (AI-driven capabilities) within ServiceNow
  • \n
  • Experience delivering solutions in UK public sector or regulated environments
  • \n
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • \n
Desirable Skills\n

  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations and advanced platform features
  • \n
  • Broader module exposure beyond ITSM/CSM
  • \n
  • Agile certifications or formal training (e.g. Scrum)
  • \n
Qualifications & Certifications\n

  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as:\n

    • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
    • \n
    • Certified Application Developer (CAD)
    • \n
    • CIS-ITSM / CIS-CSM (preferred)
    • \n

  • Additional certifications are advantageous

Location & Travel\n

  • Hybrid working model

  • Travel to client offices in London, Leeds, and Exeter as required\n

    • Quarterly PI planning sessions
