Teaching Assistant

Location: Wren's Nest

We are recruiting a committed teaching assistant to support pupils with complex SEND needs in a nurturing and well-resourced school.

About the Role

\n
• Provide tailored support for pupils with MSI, ASD, PMLD, PD, and SLD, ensuring learning is accessible and meaningful.
\n
• Adapt teaching materials, sensory tools, and communication aids to meet individual learning profiles.
\n
• Assist with personal-care routines, mobility support, and independence-building tasks.
\n
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver structured interventions.
\n
• Support pupils during therapy sessions such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, rebound therapy, or sensory-integration activities.
\n
• Contribute to progress monitoring, behaviour support strategies, and IEP reviews.
\n

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting SEND pupils.
\n
• Empathy, resilience, and a positive, child-centred approach.
\n
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
\n
• Qualifications such as CACHE, NVQ, or TA Level 2/3 are beneficial.
\n
• Commitment to developing as a teaching assistant.
\n

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
