Key Responsibilities

- The Group Commercial Director will be responsible for all revenue and own the overall commercial strategy and revenue performance across MIMS Healthcare Network, including advertising, live events, client content and subscriptions/paid content, ensuring sustainable growth across all revenue streams. \n
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial and paid content strategy to unlock new revenue streams and strengthen relationships with key clients. \n
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing commercial team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement. \n
- Drive commercial growth by identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities and business intelligence across the MIMS Healthcare Network. \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, particularly within pharmaceutical companies and healthcare media agencies, acting as a senior commercial partner and trusted advisor. \n
- Manage a robust commercial pipeline, ensuring the delivery of accurate monthly financial forecasts and performance metrics to the Business Director. \n
- Work closely with editorial, product, marketing, events and operational teams to develop compelling commercial propositions and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. \n
- Partner with editorial teams to identify opportunities for commercially viable content, data, research and subscription products while maintaining quality and customer value. \n
- Provide commercial leadership and insight to senior stakeholders, contributing to wider business strategy, investment decisions and future growth opportunities. \n
Working closely with Marketing, Editorial, Customer Services, Events, and Content Labs to build effective working relationships, share knowledge, provide support and contribute to the successful delivery of business objectives.

- Strong understanding of B2B media, information, events and digital revenue models. \n
- Knowledge of the healthcare sector, particularly pharmaceutical marketing and healthcare communications, would be advantageous. \n
- Understanding of subscription, membership and paid content models, and how to drive customer value and retention. \n
- Knowledge of commercial strategy, revenue growth opportunities and developing new products and propositions. \n
- Good understanding of CRM systems, analytics platforms and using data to inform commercial decision-making. \n
- Awareness of relevant healthcare marketing compliance requirements and industry standards. \n

- Strong commercial leadership skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth. \n

- Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role within B2B media, information, events or a related commercial environment. \n
- Significant experience in developing and delivering successful commercial strategies across multiple revenue streams and platforms. \n
- Experience managing subscription, membership, advertising, content or other recurring revenue models. \n
- Proven history of managing performance against budgets, with precise forecasting and reporting capabilities. \n
- Experienced in building and maintaining strategic relationships with major clients, agencies and industry stakeholders. \n
- Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and empowering high‑performing commercial teams. \n
- Track record of collaborating with editorial, product, marketing and operational teams to deliver business growth. \n
