Indirect Tax Manager - Financial Services

A leading UK tax advisory practice is investing heavily in the growth of its Financial Services Indirect Tax team and is looking for an ambitious Indirect Tax Manager to join its national practice. You'll become part of a highly regarded team advising a diverse client base across banking, insurance, asset management, private equity, real estate and asset-backed finance. Working alongside experienced specialists, you'll help clients navigate complex VAT and indirect tax issues while building long-term advisory relationships. The Opportunity

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering bespoke VAT and indirect tax advice to Financial Services clients. You'll work closely with Senior Managers and Directors on complex advisory projects while taking ownership of client relationships and helping to develop junior members of the team. You'll be encouraged to contribute to business development, identify new opportunities and play an active part in the continued growth of the Financial Services offering.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality VAT and Indirect Tax advisory services to Financial Services clients.

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on complex indirect tax matters.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted day-to-day adviser.
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues across wider tax and advisory teams on multidisciplinary projects.
\n
• Support business development activities and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
\n
• Review and delegate work to junior team members, providing coaching and technical support.
\n
• Work alongside senior leadership on challenging, high-profile advisory engagements.

About You:

• Experience in VAT or Indirect Tax gained within practice, industry or a specialist advisory environment.
\n
• A genuine interest in developing your Financial Services expertise (previous sector experience is advantageous but not essential).
\n
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to provide practical, commercial solutions.
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• A proactive and collaborative approach with the confidence to take ownership of client work.
\n
• The ambition to continue developing both technically and professionally.
