Job Description

We are hiring three Business Development Managers across the South West. The role is all about driving sales growth and building strong client relationships within the FMCG industry. You'll identify opportunities, develop strategies, and work closely with clients to meet their needs and achieve business targets.

  • Identify, target and convert new free-trade customers.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain a strong, active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • \n
  • Stretching new business targets set annually.
  • \n
  • Manage structured on boarding to ensure long-term customer retention.
  • \n
  • Work in close partnership with our Sales Centres to embed and grow new accounts.
  • \n
  • Own and execute a territory growth plan using insight and data.
  • \n

Profile

\n

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in business development, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • \n
  • Strong prospecting discipline and pipeline management
  • \n
  • Confidence in closing and negotiating at decision-maker level
  • \n
  • A results-driven approach with a focus on achieving targets.
  • \n
  • The ability to convert wins into sustainable, long-term partnerships
  • \n
  • A data-led approach to territory planning and opportunity targeting
  • \n
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel within the South West region.
  • \n
\n

Experience within food service, FMCG or B2B distribution is advantageous, but a strong new business mindset is essential.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary of £46,000 dependent on the level of experience with OTE of £75,000.
