\nProtocol Education is recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in specialist schools and alternative provisions across Leeds.

Your Role\nAs an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including:

- SEMH \n
- Autism \n
- ADHD \n
- Behavioural needs \n
- Trauma-related challenges \n
You’ll help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn by:
\n- \n
- Providing 1:1 and small group support \n
- Building trust and positive relationships \n
- Supporting emotional regulation \n
- Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques \n
- Creating a calm and consistent environment \n
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams \n
We’re searching for people who bring empathy, patience, and consistency.
\nYou might have experience as a:

- Behaviour Mentor \n
- Youth Worker \n
- Learning Support Assistant \n
- Support Worker \n
- Learning Mentor \n
Experience in SEMH schools, PRUs, alternative provisions, SEND settings, or mainstream schools is highly desirable.
