Are you a skilled and reliable tradesperson looking for your next opportunity in social housing? MRG is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join a well-regarded housing provider in North London, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to tenants.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in providing a responsive, customer-focused repairs service, working across tenants’ homes to deliver repairs right first time. This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality repairs and maintenance across your core trade (plumbing or carpentry), alongside secondary trades
\n
• Deliver a first-time fix approach, minimising repeat visits
\n
• Maintain excellent customer service standards when working in tenants’ homes
\n
• Accurately record work completed and manage van stock effectively
\n
• Work collaboratively with planners, surveyors and housing teams
\n
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
\n
• Identify and report wider property or tenancy concerns where appropriate
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds or equivalent) in a recognised trade
\n
• Strong multi-trade experience (e.g. tiling, decorating, plastering)
\n
• Proven experience in a customer-facing maintenance or housing environment
\n
• Ability to work independently, manage your workload and problem-solve on site
\n
• A strong commitment to delivering excellent service to residents
\n
• Full UK driving licence
