Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher – Chesterfield (ASAP or September 2026 Start)
\nThe Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Part-Time Design & Technology Teacher, with an ASAP start or a September 2026 start available.
\nThis role is ideal for a creative and passionate DT specialist who enjoys inspiring students through practical, hands-on learning, innovation, and design.
\nTimetable: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (mornings)
\nThe role includes:• Delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4• Planning and adapting lessons to support all learners• Developing students’ practical, design, and problem-solving skills• Assessing, tracking, and providing meaningful feedback• Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment• Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
\nWe’re looking for candidates who:• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification• Have experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary schools• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar)• Are passionate about practical, hands-on learning• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills• Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
