SEMH Teacher - Specialist Setting (Epilepsy & Neurological Conditions)
\nLocation: LingfieldContract: Full-time / PermanentSalary: £130 - £200 dependant on qualifications and experiece
\nWe are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with epilepsy and associated neurological, emotional, and mental health needs.
\nThis is a rewarding opportunity to work in a highly supportive, therapeutic environment where small class sizes and multidisciplinary collaboration allow staff to make a genuine difference to pupils' lives.
\nThe Role
\nAs an SEMH Teacher, you will:
\n- \n
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and epilepsy \n
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment \n
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development \n
- Work closely with therapists, clinicians, and support staff to implement individual education and care plans \n
- Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support learning and wellbeing \n
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs \n
The Ideal Candidate
\nWe are looking for someone who:
\n- \n
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) \n
- Has experience working with SEMH needs, SEND, or vulnerable learners \n
- Has a strong understanding of behaviour support and emotional wellbeing \n
- Is calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication skills \n
- Is committed to inclusive education and safeguarding \n
Experience working with pupils with epilepsy, neurological conditions, or in specialist settings is desirable but not essential-full training and ongoing professional development will be provided.
