\nAbout the Role
\nReed Further Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support learners aged 16–19 on Study Programmes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
\nWorking closely with tutors and SEND professionals, you will provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, helping learners engage fully in lessons and progress towards their individual goals.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners within classroom and vocational settings. \n
- Support learners with EHCPs and additional learning needs to access the curriculum effectively. \n
- Work collaboratively with tutors and SEND teams to implement learning strategies and monitor progress. \n
- Assist with behaviour management and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. \n
- Encourage learner independence, confidence and self-management skills. \n
- Monitor and record learner progress, attendance and engagement. \n
- Prepare and organise learning resources and materials. \n
- Attend staff meetings, training and CPD activities as required. \n
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and learner wellbeing at all times. \n
What We're Looking For
\nEssential
\n- \n
- English and Maths qualification at Level 2 (or equivalent). \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Experience supporting young people, learners with SEND, or vulnerable individuals. \n
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff. \n
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or similar role. \n
- Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND practices. \n
- Understanding of Further Education environments. \n
- Experience supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. \n
