The Role

\n

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school for girls on a short-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for suitably experienced candidates.

\n

The successful applicant will deliver engaging and challenging lessons, foster a love of History, and contribute positively to the life of a thriving and ambitious school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • \n
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes outstanding student progress.
  • \n
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student achievement.
  • \n
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the wider school.
  • \n

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Experience teaching History at secondary level.
  • \n
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • \n
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • \n
