Security Analyst

Security Analyst - £45,000 - £50,000 – Reading – Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading UK Managed Service Provider (MSP) to recruit a Security Analyst based in Reading.

The successful candidate will play a key role in security operations, incident response, threat detection and automation, helping to protect customer environments while continuously improving security platforms and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full security incident lifecycle, from investigation through to resolution.
\n
• Monitor, investigate and respond to security events across cloud, identity and endpoint environments.
\n
• Design, implement and optimise SIEM detection rules to improve threat detection and reduce false positives.
\n
• Develop and maintain security automation using SOAR platforms, Logic Apps, Python and APIs.
\n
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and perform root cause analysis following security incidents.
\n
• Support endpoint security, identity protection and vulnerability management initiatives.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Experience within a SOC environment.
\n
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR and SOAR platforms.
\n
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, Darktrace or similar security technologies.
\n
• Experience monitoring and securing Azure and AWS environments.
\n
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n

Desirable Skills

\n
• CISSP and/or Microsoft Security certifications (SC-200, SC-300 or SC-400).
\n
• Experience working within an MSP or MSSP environment.
\n
