The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant\nA welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Barnet is seeking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its support team from September on a long-term basis.
\nAs the successful SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 who have a range of additional learning needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other SEND requirements. You will provide both in-class and small-group support, deliver targeted interventions, promote student engagement and independence, and work collaboratively with teachers and the school's SENCO to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.
\nThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, either within a school or similar setting. You will be patient, proactive, adaptable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where every student feels supported, valued and encouraged to achieve their best.
