\nPay: £35.00 per hour (PAYE) + 1 paid hour of Planning, Preparation & Assessment (PPA) per day + all teaching resources provided

\nHours: Monday-Friday | 9:30am-2:30pm

Build Relationships. Inspire Confidence. Change Lives.\nNew Chapter Tuition is looking for an experienced Specialist SEN Tutor to support a young person with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASC) and ADHD, who is non-verbal and presents with social and communication difficulties.
\nThis is a rewarding long-term opportunity for a tutor who is passionate about providing personalised, relationship-led support and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
\nYou will work as part of a 3:1 support team, alongside two experienced Support Workers, delivering structured, engaging sessions that promote communication, emotional regulation, independence and life skills.
The Role\nAs a Specialist SEN Tutor, you will:

- Deliver personalised 1:1 teaching tailored to the learner's EHCP outcomes and individual needs. \n
- Build a positive, trusting relationship through consistency, patience and a person-centred approach. \n
- Support communication, engagement and emotional regulation throughout each session. \n
- Deliver activities using strategies including: \n
- Sensory play \n
- Social Stories \n
- Zones of Regulation \n
- Now & Next \n
- Structured games and play-based learning \n
- Bubble play \n
- Life skills activities \n
- Adapt sessions to meet the learner's communication style, interests and sensory needs. \n
- Work collaboratively with the wider support team and family to ensure consistency, engagement and progress. \n
We're looking for someone who:
\n- \n
- Has substantial experience tutoring or teaching young people with SEND. \n
- Has proven experience supporting learners with SLD, Autism (ASC), ADHD and non-verbal communication. \n
- Is confident supporting behaviours that challenge using positive behaviour support strategies. \n
- Has strong de-escalation, emotional regulation and re-engagement skills. \n
- Understands trauma-informed practice and the importance of building positive relationships. \n
- Is patient, adaptable, creative and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every learner. \n

- £35.00 per hour (PAYE). \n
- One paid hour per day for Planning, Preparation & Assessment (PPA). \n
- All teaching resources and learning materials provided. \n
- Consistent long-term hours, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm. \n
- Meet & Greet with the learner and family during the summer holidays before tuition begins. \n
- Dedicated Consultant and ongoing support throughout your placement. \n
- Free CPD, safeguarding and specialist SEND training. \n
