\nAbout the Role
\nTradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to cover a maternity leave at a charming, small school nursery based in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a close-knit team in a nurturing educational environment.
\nRunning from Monday to Friday (8:15 AM - 4:00 PM), this role offers excellent working hours that balance a fulfilling leadership career with a great work-life balance.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nProvide daily leadership and management to the nursery team, ensuring the highest standards of care and early education.
\nOversee the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young learners.
\nMaintain strong, supportive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
\nEnsure full compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
\nManage day-to-day administration and smoothly transition children into the wider school ecosystem.
\nWhat We Are Looking For:
\nA minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Degree or Level 5/6 management qualification is highly desirable).
\nProven experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or strong Room Leader looking to step up.
\nIn-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and excellent safeguarding practice.
\nA warm, approachable leadership style with excellent communication skills.
\nA current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to process one through Tradewind).
