This is a rewarding opportunity to support students both academically and personally, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, SEND teams, and pastoral staff to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them access the curriculum.
\n
• Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
\n
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, resilience, and independence.
\n
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND.
\n
• Assisting with targeted interventions to improve academic progress and wellbeing.
\n
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, supportive learning environment.
\n
• Preparing learning resources and providing classroom support where required.
\n
• Building positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
\n

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting (although transferable experience is welcomed).
\n
• A caring, patient, and encouraging approach.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• The ability to build positive relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds.
\n
• Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities.
\n
• A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
\n
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
\n
