You will work closely with teachers, SEND teams, and pastoral staff to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom.
The Role\nAs a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them access the curriculum. \n
- Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons. \n
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, resilience, and independence. \n
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND. \n
- Assisting with targeted interventions to improve academic progress and wellbeing. \n
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, supportive learning environment. \n
- Preparing learning resources and providing classroom support where required. \n
- Building positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community. \n
The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting (although transferable experience is welcomed). \n
- A caring, patient, and encouraging approach. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- The ability to build positive relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds. \n
- Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities. \n
- A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative. \n
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed. \n
