Security Engineer

We are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering based in Redhill who are looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities will include:

\n
• Developing information security plans and policies
\n
• Implementing protections and solutions to ensure and enforce the information security plans and policies
\n
• Centre of excellence for network and device security
\n
• Designing, building, testing, commission and troubleshoot security solutions (IDS/IPM/SIEM)
\n
• Writing and maintaining configuration/reconfiguration documentation, schematics, support guides and other documentation as required.
\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Minimum of 5 years multi network exposure including hands on experience of designing and managing secure networks including:
\n
• Cisco Firewalls, Routers & Switches
\n
• Compliance Standards (ISO27001 and ITIL)
\n
• Security tools sets (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
\n
• Pen testing tools
\n
• Juniper platforms
\n
• Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance
\n
• Excellent organisation with pro-active and can-do attitude
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Telecommunications background ideally with knowledge of satcom and/or maritime communications background.
\n
• UK MOD/Government networks experience.
\n
