Caretaker
Job Description
Location: Birmingham, B15
\nStart: ASAP
\nHours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am - 6:15pm
\nZest Education are currently recruiting for a skilled Caretaker to join a well-established and thriving independent school in Birmingham.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- General upkeep, maintenance and safety of the school premises. \n
- Carrying out statutory testing and checks on a regular basis, such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire safety, meter readings and water checks. \n
- Act as a keyholder, locking up site, securing windows, doors gates and alarms. \n
- Ensuring hazards are dealt with immediately wherever possible. \n
- Communicating with and escorting contractors on site. \n
- Assist the Grounds Person with cutting and treating of lawns and onsite playing fields. \n
- Assisting with preparation for school or lettings events, moving chairs and erecting staging. \n
You Will Need:

- Previous experience of working in a caretaking or maintenance role. \n
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements such as COSHH and Manual Handling. \n
- An Enhanced DBS Check (Or willingness to complete one) \n
- A flexible and self-motivated attitude. \n

\nSalary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
