Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Agentic Systems)

£650 per day Inside IR35

6-Month Contract

Hybrid - 1 day per week in the City of London

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast-moving technology team building next-generation AI and agentic analytics solutions. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who can rapidly turn ideas into working software, helping prove where AI can deliver real value across a complex enterprise environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Rapidly prototype, build and validate new AI-driven solutions, taking concepts from idea to working demo in days.
\n
• Develop components using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and modern agent frameworks.
\n
• Work closely with architects, product leaders and engineers to de-risk emerging technologies and shape future solutions.
\n
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and experimentation.
\n
• Integrate solutions with existing platforms built on C#/.NET, Angular and Python.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Strong software engineering experience with C#/.NET Core, Angular/TypeScript and Python.
\n
• Practical experience working with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks and prompt engineering.
\n
• A track record of rapidly building prototypes, MVPs and proof-of-concepts.
\n
• Experience within insurance, reinsurance, risk analytics or financial services environments.
\n
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub and Agile delivery practices.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience taking AI solutions into production environments.
\n
• Azure cloud and containerisation experience.
\n
• Exposure to analytics, modelling or data-intensive platforms.
\n
