\nThe Supply Register is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student 1:1 with additional learning needs at Sylvester Primary Academy. This full-time role is ideal for someone with experience in Special Educational Needs who is confident supporting a learner with Autism, ADHD and managing challenging behaviour.
About the Role\nYou will work on a one-to-one basis with a ale student who requires consistent support to access learning, regulate emotions, and engage positively in the school environment. You will play a vital role in helping the student develop confidence, independence, and strategies for managing behaviour.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n

Provide one-to-one support to a student with ASD, ADHD and additional needs.

Use a calm, patient, and proactive approach to help manage challenging behaviour.
\n - \n
Support the student in accessing classwork and maintaining engagement in lessons.
\n - \n
Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
\n - \n
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
\n - \n
Record observations and contribute to support plans when required.
\n - \n
Promote positive relationships, emotional regulation, and resilience.
\n

Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs.
\n - \n
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
\n - \n
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
\n - \n
Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
\n - \n
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the welfare of students.
\n - \n
Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA, SEN, or behaviour training) are desirable but not essential.
