Job Description
Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced, compassionate, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Early Years Educators to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across a variety of nurseries and Early Years settings in Bristol.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS\nLocation: Bristol
\nPosition: SEN 1:1 Early Years Educator (Supply)
\nPay: £15-£17 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
\nHours: Flexible - Full Days, AM Shifts, and PM Shifts
\nContract Types: Ad-hoc, Short-Term, Long-Term, and Temp-to-Perm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND REQUIREMENTSESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS\nLevel 3 Early Years / Childcare Qualification (or equivalent)
\nPrevious experience supporting children with SEND within a nursery, Early Years, education, or care setting
\nSound understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
\nKnowledge of additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language Needs, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
\nExperience implementing personalised support strategies and adapting activities to meet individual needs
\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursery teams, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
\nA caring, patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
\nAbility to build positive relationships and promote children's confidence, independence, and wellbeing
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS\nPaediatric First Aid Certificate
\nSEND-specific training (e.g., Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, Attention Autism, Sensory Processing)
\nSafeguarding Training
\nExperience working on a 1:1 basis with children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
\nTraining can be provided where required.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:\n- \n
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK \n
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Child Barred List Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one \n
- Provide two childcare or education-related professional references covering the last two years \n
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience supporting children with SEND \n
