Job Description

Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Security Cleared Site Agent to join their site-based project in the Southwest. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to be part of one of the UK's most complex and challenging infrastructure projects. The Site Agent will be responsible for overseeing construction at the site level, ensuring works meet required standards, and comply with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation, Company Policy, and best practices throughout the construction process. Coordinate daily activities with Construction Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and suppliers to develop and review safe system compliance. Monitor site activities to ensure they comply with relevant expectations, standards, and arrangements, including Site rules, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), and emergency procedures. Manage the education and development of subcontractors, site supervisors, and site teams. Ensure that all on-site activities, including surveys and records, are documented accurately. Develop management skills in a client-facing role, demonstrating positive values and behaviours of Safety and Quality. Coordinate sub-contractor activities and chair regular coordination meetings with staff and subcontractors. Identify opportunities and risks with the Site team and maintain the Risk Register in coordination with relevant project functions. Job Requirements: Security clearance is required for this role. Experience in civil engineering within the defence sector. Proficiency in IT skills, including CAD and MS Office; developing skills in Scheduling software and Document Management Systems. Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and manage complex projects in a collaborative environment. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to unexpected events. Qualifications: Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience. CSCS, SMSTS/IOSH certification required. Project Management training (e.g., APM, Prince2) and Nuclear Training (e.g., Triple bar) are desirable.
